Terms of use
These terms cover Minggly’s text and video chat and the optional Premium subscription. Read them with the community rules and privacy notice. Last updated: 23 September 2026.
18+ only. Free text and video chat. Country and gender filters require Premium.
Eligibility and use
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to use the service where you are. Do not allow anyone under 18 to participate or appear in your camera view. Minggly is a social chat service; it is not a sexual-content service. Confirming that you are 18 does not mean other participants have had their age or identity verified.
By choosing to join, you agree to these terms and the community rules. You can stop a conversation whenever you want. You do not have to stay connected, share personal information or continue speaking to someone who makes you uncomfortable. Other participants have the same choices.
Availability can vary by location, device, connection quality and the number of compatible people online. Access from a location does not establish that every use is permitted there. Do not bypass a restriction intended to prevent unlawful use.
Free access and Premium
Basic text and video chat, language preferences and interests are free. Country and gender matching preferences require Premium. There is no free allowance for those paid filters and no age matching.
Premium covers both chat modes, with country and gender filters, priority when compatible people are available, fewer rapid-skip cooldowns and a badge. Narrowing a search can still increase waiting time. Premium does not guarantee an instant match or override another person's preferences.
Country is based on connection information and gender is self-described. Neither filter verifies a person’s identity or the accuracy of what they say. Reporting, blocking and the ability to leave remain available without a subscription. Safety measures and fair-use controls apply to everyone.
Trial, charges and renewal
1 day free, then US$9.99/week. New subscribers only. Renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.
Stripe collects a payment method when you start the trial. If you keep the subscription, that method is charged when the trial ends and then each week. The trial is for new subscribers; a returning subscriber may be charged immediately, as shown in checkout. Review the amount, currency, first-charge date and renewal terms before confirming.
The subscription is priced in US dollars. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency conversion or fees. Only buy using a payment method you are authorised to use. A failed payment or an expired subscription can end Premium access without removing access to features that remain free.
Cancellation and consumer rights
To stop renewal, open Account, choose Manage billing and complete cancellation in the Stripe billing portal. Check the confirmation and the date when access ends. Cancel before the trial’s first-charge time to avoid that charge, or before the next renewal to prevent the next weekly charge. Closing chat, deleting browser data, losing account access or stopping use does not cancel a subscription.
Cancellation in the billing portal stops future renewal according to the date shown there; it does not automatically refund a payment already taken. That is separate from any right to cancel a contract, receive a refund or obtain another remedy under consumer law. These terms do not limit those rights.
Where UK distance-contract cancellation rights apply, you normally have 14 days from entering the service contract to cancel without giving a reason. Starting a one-day trial does not, by itself, waive that right. If you expressly ask for a service to start during a cooling-off period, any deduction on cancellation must be permitted by law and proportionate to the service supplied. Rights for a faulty or misdescribed service may also apply. Other countries may provide additional protections.
Keep access to your purchase
An anonymous purchase belongs to the account saved in your browser. Before clearing site data or changing browsers, connect Google or add and verify a recovery email while you still have access. Simply entering an email at checkout does not link it to your Minggly account. An IP address or an unverified email is not proof of ownership.
Email verification must be completed in the browser where it was requested. After verification, a recovery link can restore the saved account and its subscription on another browser. Links expire after 15 minutes and can be used once. Keep them private: anyone able to use your recovery link or linked Google account may gain access. Recovery does not remove a safety restriction or ban.
Minggly does not automatically combine separate accounts or transfer purchases between them. If you see an account conflict, keep the original browser open and manage its subscription there. Without the original session or a previously linked recovery method, a new anonymous account cannot retrieve the old purchase.
If a payment succeeds but Premium has not appeared, return to the same account and refresh its billing status before buying again. Subscription help explains the account and billing controls.
Conduct, reports and restrictions
Do not use Minggly for sexual content, exploitation, threats, hate, harassment, scams, spam or impersonation. Do not expose another person’s private information, record or publish their conversation without permission, submit deliberately false reports, use bots to impersonate participants, evade bans or interfere with the service. The community rules explain these requirements in more detail.
Reports can include recent images and messages. Authorized operators may also observe an active conversation for safety review, as explained before joining and in the privacy notice. Screening and human review can miss incidents or make mistakes; no match is a guarantee that another person is safe or genuine. Use Stop, Block or Report when needed. Minggly is not an emergency service.
We may end a connection, issue a warning, limit access or ban an account to address a rule violation, suspected abuse, a security problem or a legal requirement. Premium does not prevent enforcement. A restriction does not automatically cancel recurring billing: use Manage billing to check renewal. Enforcement does not remove any refund or other consumer right that the law gives you.
Your content and the service
You keep any rights you have in what you share. By sending text, audio or video, you allow Minggly to transmit it to the conversation partner and process it for the safety and reporting purposes explained in the privacy notice. This does not give Minggly permission to publish your conversation as advertising. Share only material you are entitled to share, and respect the privacy and rights of others.
We aim to keep the service usable, but connections can fail and people can leave without warning. Minggly does not promise continuous availability, a minimum number of users, a particular conversation outcome or that another participant’s statements are accurate. These limits do not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including responsibility for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
We may update features or these terms to improve the service, address security issues or reflect legal changes. Material changes will be explained before they take effect where required. A change does not retrospectively remove rights you already have or authorise an undisclosed charge. Check the current offer before starting or restarting a subscription, and use the billing portal if you do not want it to renew.
